Spray training collars d-control AQUA spray are an equipment for training sensitive dogs of all breeds. They help to disturb the dog from inappropriate behaviour at the right time. The collars are a great tool for walks when the dog will appreciate sufficient freedom of movement, but will still be safe and under your control. The main function of this device is a spray correction in the form of an unpleasant spray that is directed at the dog's muzzle. Other possible corrections are an audible signal and vibration. All receivers are compact, waterproof and developed to be as comfortable as possible for the dog. The long battery life allows the receiver and transmitter to be used for 6-12 months on a single charge. A magnetic switching system is used to switch the collar on/off. For which dogs is AQUA spray suitable?

The dimensions of the receiver are 3,8 x 6,8 x 3,5 cm and the weight is 74 grams, the collar is adjustable in length from 20 to 72 cm. The Dogtrace Aqua spray collar is particularly suitable for more sensitive dogs, small, medium and large breeds.

 

Battery life

Both the transmitter and receiver are equipped with a 3V battery marked CR2 (included). On a single charge, the receiver lasts 6 - 12 months, the transmitter has a battery life of 8-14 months. The battery status is indicated by a light indicator on both the transmitter and receiver.

Overview of corrections

The collar has sound, vibration and spray correction.

Sound signal: this command can precede the stimulus pulse and is a very effective warning. The acoustic signal can be used instead of the command: to me / to the leg, in this case it replaces the whistle, whose volume is always perceived by the dog in the same way. It is very important to always use the acoustic signal in the same way so as not to confuse your dog. The green indicator light on the receiver is on for the duration of the acoustic signal.

Spray stimulation: the function allows you to activate an alert in the receiver in the form of an unpleasant cooling spray, it is possible to select short spray stimulation from 1-5, or long spray stimulation from the shortest 1 to the longest 10.

Vibration: the vibration function has been designed as an alternative method of communication for hearing impaired dogs or for training dogs hypersensitive to stimulus.

 

A multi-function button allows the correction to be triggered in 4 modes:

1. Vibration

2. Long spray correction + vibration.

3. Long spray correction + acoustic signal

4. Long spray correction + vibration + acoustic signal

 

Easy maintenance

Never use volatile substances such as thinner, petrol or other cleaners to clean your D-control. Use a soft, damp cloth or neutral detergent if necessary. The receiver (collar) is only waterproof provided the seal is in good condition. To maintain the watertightness of the receiver, we recommend replacing the rubber seal in the receiver battery compartment cover once a year. Also make sure to clean and adjust the seals properly after each battery change in the receiver and to tighten the screws properly. However, only tighten them with reasonable force! The transmitter is not waterproof - protect it from moisture.

 

Refilling the receiver with spray cartridge

Before using the spray training collar, it is necessary to fill the receiver tank with spray cartridge. Filling the collar with the spray cartridge is very simple and takes only a few minutes. Do not fill the collar on the dog's neck! Turn the receiver with the filling valve upwards, place the spray tip on the filling valve of the receiver and apply reasonable force to the spray canister and hold the pressure for approximately 15 seconds. It is recommended to clean the spray tip and filling valve of dirt after each filling and to re-stick the filling valve with the sticker that is inserted under the cap of the spray container.

 

Trouble advisor

• Check if the problem is caused by weak batteries or improper use
• Check that the batteries are inserted with the correct polarity
• Try pairing the transmitter with the receiver again
• If spray is leaking around the fill valve - check that there is a rubber seal around the fill valve and no debris on it. If everything is OK, try pushing the spray can harder when filling
