When the dog barks, the collar either emits an ultrasonic signal alone, or vibrates on the dog's neck, or both at the same time. Bark detection
Canicalm Sonic is triggered by the skin on the neck shaking when barking. The principle of the function implies that the device reacts exclusively to the barking of the dog that has it on its neck, so it is impossible to be triggered by the barking of a different dog.

The Canicalm Sonic collar uses a replaceable CR2450 lithium battery for power. The collar's operating life is in the order of 1 to 3 months. The quality of the batteries used is what matters.

Breed 
The Canicalm Sonic collar is recommended especially for Chihuahuas, Yorkshires, Maltese, Bolognese, and other small breeds of dogs. It can also be used for medium and large breeds, but may not be as effective on these.
