Product description

With advanced selective entry technology, the PetSafe® Microchip Cat Flap is designed to give your cat easy access to the outdoors while preventing unwanted cats and other animals from entering your home.

Using radio-frequency identification (RFID) technology, the flap recognises your cat’s unique ID microchip without the need for a collar or accessories. When your cat approaches the flap, it responds and allows entry only for them. The flap remains locked and denies access to cats that are not programmed, as well as wild animals, pests or stray cats.

The flap also features a practical manual 4-way lock, allowing you to control access for programmed cats.

Frequently asked questions:

  • How do microchip cat flaps work?

  • What is an FDX-B microchip?
An FDX-B microchip is a 15-digit numeric microchip containing numbers only, with no letters. It is read at 134.2 kHz and is recognised by most universal scanners worldwide. This is a microchip approved by the NCAC, also used for registration with the Canadian Kennel Club. This type of microchip is required for travel to many destinations, such as the United Kingdom, Europe and Australia.
